Our mission is to provide you with timely, comprehensive news and event information about the Kalamazoo area local music scene. With growing support in the community from venue owners, local bands, and avid music fans, Kalamazoo Local Music will be the most comprehensive and timely source for music events.

Founding Story
Kalamazoo Local Music was founded by entrepreneurs attending Startup Weekend Kalamazoo March 25-27.
“Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event which focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a weekend. The weekend brings together people with different skill-sets – primarily software developers, graphics designers and business people – to build applications and develop a commercial case around them.”
Founders
Brandy Gulley
Brandy was born and raised in Lansing Michigan were she studied audio production and vocal jazz performance. She finished her degree at Western Michigan University with a BBA in Marketing. Her favorite genres of music are indie rock, house, and metal with Radiohead leading the pack as her favorite band of all time. Brandy is Co-Owner of KLM and the website’s director of marketing and social media.
Daniel ‘Diggler’ Proczko
Daniel Proczko is a co-founder of Kalamazoo Local Music. He gained a appreciation for Kalamazoo’s rich local music scene while working for a country radio station in the area. His favorite genres include: techno, rock, country, indie and folk.
Jenny Anderson
Jennifer Anderson is a co-founder of Kalamazoo Local Music and currently studies Art History at Western Michigan University and works full-time as a Social Media Marketer. She loves to watch storms, receive picked wild flowers, and see live shows.
John Potter
John Potter shows up on the first page of google when you search his name and has a wikipedia page he did not create himself. He listens exclusively to indie music and only eats at restaurants with a zagat rating of 23+. His looks consistently rate a 10. On a scale of 5. John Potter is a pimp. Also he respects women.
